Charles Bridge is one of most famous bridges in whole Europe. It is historical bridge that crosses the Vltava river at the central Prague. Construction of bridge dates from 1357 ordered from King Charles IV and it’s finished on the beginning of 15th century. Charles Bridge is important to city of Prague for one more reason. Looking back in years, bridge changed couple names. Originally bridge name was “Stone Bridge” or the Prague Bridge. His original name Charles Bridge was made at 1870. Original name In Czech language is Karluv Most. Bridge is around 1600 feet long and around 30 feet wide. At the both side of bridge you can see total of 16 arches shielded by ice guards. Bridge is guarded by 3 towers. Two of them are on Lesser Quarter side, and one of them is at Old Town side. Interested for Old Town Tower is that is considered for one of the most astonishing civil gothic-style buildings in the world. Bridge is decorated by alley of 30 statues made in Baroque style added around 1700 year.
